Absolutely, GPT-4 and OpenAI APIs can significantly enhance and automate various parts of the data workflow. Here are a few real-world examples of how teams are using them to save time and improve consistency:

  1. Automated Report Generation
Use Case: After completing an analysis in Python or Excel, analysts feed structured outputs (KPIs, charts, trends) into GPT-4 to generate client-ready reports.
  2. Data Cleaning Assistance
Use Case: GPT-4 helps interpret and standardize messy column headers or convert semi-structured text fields (like user-entered feedback) into usable formats.
  3. Natural Language Summarization
Use Case: Feed in long PDF reports, Excel sheets with comments, or meeting transcripts — GPT-4 generates concise summaries or extracts key decisions and action points.
  4. SQL Query Generation and Debugging
Use Case: Analysts describe what they want in plain English, and GPT-4 writes or reviews SQL queries.
  5. Dashboard Commentary
Use Case: Combine Power BI/Looker dashboard metrics with GPT-4 prompts to auto-generate plain-English interpretations below charts.
