I chose data over traditional dev roles because I enjoy solving ambiguous, real-world problems not just writing code, but asking the right questions and validating them with data.
It’s not for everyone. If you prefer well-defined tasks and structured workflows, backend dev might suit you better. But if you’re comfortable with uncertainty and like bridging tech with business, data science is incredibly rewarding — and yes, still very worth it.
