RE: Why does everyone seem to be choosing data science these days?

I’m a data science undergrad, and yeah — the hype is partly real. The salary and job titles sound cool, but what pulled me in was the mix of logic and creativity. I liked solving open-ended problems, finding patterns, and telling stories with data.

Compared to backend or web dev, data science felt more flexible — you can apply it in tons of industries without switching your core skill set.

If you’re into structured systems, backend might be your thing. But if you’re curious, analytical, and like working with real-world problems, data science is definitely worth exploring.
